When images are viewed quickly, does a new "meta-image" arise? While studying the work of designers such as Alexander McQueen, Emilio Pucci, and Comme des Garçons, I noticed that broader motifs surface when collections are viewed in quick progression. For example, McQueen's final collection,The Origin of Species chronicles the aesthetics of evolution by beginning with primitive silhouettes, progressing toward complex and specialized details. By observing closer, the growth of models' hair into horns becomes clear. A book presents static images on a series of pages, so I thought it would be interesting to display serial imagery on static pages.
